This is a working draft. It will be reviewed before Swyfax launches, and we’ll tell you before any change that affects you takes effect.
We collect what we need to deliver your package and to show what happened on each delivery, and nothing more. We don’t sell your information. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
- Everyone: your phone number, and your name if you give it. We use your phone number to sign you in with a code.
- Senders: pickup and drop-off addresses, what you’re sending, your recipient’s name and phone number, and your payments and refunds.
- Recipients: the name and phone number the sender gave us, so we can send the delivery code and tracking link by SMS.
- Riders: your photo, vehicle and plate number, your location while you’re online or on a job, the photos you take during deliveries, and your earnings and payouts.
- Sign-ups on this website: the details you enter in the rider or business form, so we can contact you.
How we use it
- To price, match and complete deliveries, and to show senders and recipients where their package is.
- To keep each delivery’s record: who did what, when and where, with photos. We use it to settle disputes and refunds.
- To pay riders and refund senders.
- To prevent fraud and keep riders and customers safe.
Who sees it
- The rider on your delivery sees the pickup, the drop-off and the recipient’s name, and can call through the app.
- Senders see the rider’s name, photo, plate and location during the delivery. Recipients see the rider’s first name, plate and distance on the tracking page.
- Companies that run parts of the service for us: payments, SMS, maps and address search, and hosting. They may use your information only to provide that service.
- The authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep delivery and payment records for as long as the law requires, and as long as they may be needed to settle a dispute. A rider’s live location is shown only during a job.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it where the law doesn’t require us to keep it. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
